Southeast Unity Ministries

Youth of Unity

Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) is the high school or equivalent (approximately ages 14-18) group for Unity. Y.O.U.ers meet on Sunday mornings for deep, spiritual exploration, fellowship, and an accepting environment. Y.O.U. lessons are typically led or co-led by the teens and include prayer, the Daily Word, meditation, breakout groups, activities, and leadership. In addition, Y.O.U. groups frequently plan social activities, service projects, and lock ins, and participate in the three regional retreats and IYOU. Y.O.U. focuses on empowering teens to live Unity Principles through leadership and service.

To keep informed about Southeast Y.O.U., feel free to request access to our Facebook group, Southeast Y.O.U. This is a private group intended for Y.O.U.ers, Sponsors, Ministers, Youth Directors, and current Y.O.U. parents. Please contact Rev. Ytonna Finnegan if you have any questions about Y.O.U.

Upcoming Events

Important note: Southeast Unity Ministries, Inc. Youth & Young Adult Ministry is going paperless! Registration for both adults and teens will be online. All registrations and payments must be in by the deadline posted on the flyer for each event. Below are the easy steps you will take to assist your adults and teenagers in registering.

STEP 1: The YFM Director and/or the Y.O.U. Sponsor will fill out the “SE Unity Ministries, Inc. Minister, Uniteen Leader and or Y.O.U. Sponsor Endorsement Form” This is the first page of the old registration form. It includes your Minister’s information, whoever is responsible for filling out the form and who, from your church/spiritual center, will be attending the event. This form provides both you and Ytonna Finnegan, head of our Youth & Young Adult Ministries, a check list for both payment and registrations. This form needs to be filled out as soon as possible when you know who plans to attend a retreat or rally. Once Ytonna receives it, she will email you a PDF copy of this form for your records.

STEP 2: The next step will be to send out the registration link to your adults/teens who plan to attend the event. Once Ytonna receives a completed registration form, she will make a PDF version for herself and email you a copy of the registration form. You will have the ability to either email your adult driver with all the information and continue the paperless trail, or you can make a copy so they will have it in the car with them to/from retreat/rally.

STEP 3:

Keep in close communication with Ytonna, as this is a new procedure and as we go through this a couple of times, she will make the necessary changes to make it easier for everyone.
