Balancing Act: One Service, Multiple Experiences

October 26 @ 3:15 pm - 4:45 pm

Rev. Todd Humphrey

Note: CEU credits are available for this class, offered on Zoom as part of the Southeast Regional Conference.

It wasn’t long ago that almost all services were delivered to congregations in only one way: a live celebration from the sanctuary, where everyone is in-person. As church leaders navigated the pandemic and constantly shifting safety protocols, virtual opportunities became more prevalent to create and maintain connections in spiritual communities. Now, a new type of programming is available that embraces the transcendent truth that Wherever We Are, We Are Connected – Hybrid Celebration Services combine in-person and virtual services. Delivering a quality service that offers multiple contact experiences becomes a balancing act, yet it is one that can reap great rewards.

This session will examine the elements of hybrid services, including equipment, software, and personnel resources; common pitfalls and challenges; and reasons to integrate technology into your strategic plan.
